A nonstandard Standard 8

There I was, mooching around a classic car show on Sunday, when I came across this car, which looked more like the feral lovechild of the Munster family's hearse than the dinky little Standard 8 that originally ran off the production line back in the 1950s.

It lurked amongst the Autoglym'd Triumph Heralds,  Morris Minors, Ford Anglias and Austin A30s, any of which I'd have been happy to own; but chancing upon this grumpy little beast, I promptly fell in love with it.

P.S. Note the recycled walking stick bonnet lid prop!
